From Salt Springs to Palatka ~ The Fort Gates Houses, the "Palmettos House" and our favorite type of Railroad Bridge the "Pistol Bridge"

Wednesday May 13, 2026 we took our boat from Salt Springs up the St Johns River to Palatka

to eat at Corky Bells.

In Fort Gates, FL we rediscovered these 4 old homes including The Palmettos House.

The old railroad bridge is beautiful to us! We call it the Pistol Bridge.

What a beautiful day to be on the St Johns River!
